At Thrift End Farm, we provide safe and secure boarding facilities for almost all kinds of pets. Based in Bedford and serving Bedfordshire, our farm is fully-equipped and offers a happy and loving home away from home for the furry members of your family. With 10 years of experience, our family-owned and operated business understands the different needs of different pets.

Payment methods

If you book for 5 days or less, full payment is required at time of booking. A 50% deposit will need to be paid to secure bookings that are longer than 1 week. Deposits are non-returnable and non-refundable. We accept cash, cheque and card payments. You are welcome to come and visit our facilities before you book. This is by appointment only and during business hours.

  • Rabbits 4.00 per pet per day
  • Hamsters and Rats 2.50 per pet per day
  • Caged Birds 4.00 per pet per day
  • Snakes and Lizards 6.00 per pet per day
  • Tortoises 4.00 per pet per day
  • Chickens and Ducks 4.00 per pet per day
  • Small Dogs 16.00 per pet per day
  • Medium Dogs 17.00 per pet per day
  • Large Dogs 18.00 per pet per day
  • One Cat 11.00 per day
  • Two Cats Sharing 17.00 per day
  • Three Cats Sharing 23.00 per day
  • 1.00 per day charge for Medication
  • 2.00 per day charge for Injections

What’s Included in the Rates?

When calculating the total cost of your pet’s stay with us, we include:

  • the day of arrival
  • the day of departure

All fees must be paid in advance or prior to departure. We charge the full booking amount in the event of early collection. Late cancellations will not receive their deposit. Exemptions are made for pet or owner’s ill health or in the event of the pet’s death.

NO SHOWS are charged in full.

Our charge rates may increase without notice and may alter the quoted price.
